What is the difference between a seasonal and an annual pitch?

Seasonal pitch

A seasonal pitch is usually for a touring caravan or camper van and is intended for a maximum stay of 6 months. This can vary from campsite to campsite and sometimes you can extend or shorten it by one or two months. Sometimes you can also include an unoccupied winter storage. Then you no longer have to register your caravan to go on the road. No inspection, no insurance … a big saving!
The pitches are always equipped with electricity. Water supply and drainage are not guaranteed. If you want this, check with the campsite you choose.

Pre-season pitch

If you are looking for a camping experience during the quiet period of the year, a camping pre-season pitch might be for you. A pre-season pitch is a camping pitch that is available during spring and/or early summer, before the peak season starts. This is a great option for people looking for peace and quiet on the campsite, and who want to enjoy the beautiful nature and outdoor life without the crowds and noise of the high season.

Annual pitch

An annual pitch can actually be for any camping equipment but classically these are often used for mobile homes or chalet caravans. But many campsites also welcome touring caravans and motorhomes! As the name suggests, you rent this pitch per year but this does not necessarily mean that you can use it for the whole year. Check with your preferred campsite whether they are open all year round to avoid any misunderstandings.
