The Kabouterberg in Kasterlee

Somewhere among the pines of Kasterlee live gnomes. Really, ask anyone who has been there with little ones. The Kabouterberg is a play forest on the slope of the Hoge Mouw, made for children aged three to seven: a gnome trail of one and a half kilometres full of stories, sand flats to dig in and dune ridges to roll down.

The play forest lies in the Hoge Mouw provincial domain, one of the finest land dune areas of the Kempen. While the little ones hunt for gnomes, the grown-ups simply walk a loop further along the dune tops.
